Reflection

I began this semester bound and determined to succeed and it seems like I continued to be overwhelmed with life! I hope to have better teaching experiences in the upcoming days but for now, life is hard.  I think I will continue adding to this blog throughout the internship program to see success, hopefully!

"I Got a D in Salami" by Henry Winkler

Hank is just a kid like any in your classroom.  He isn't the smartest or the coolest but only trying to find his way.  My students were definitely able to relate to the differnt characters and losing homework and being friends with each other.  To them, it's another day in our school and in our classroom!  Also this novel is part of a series and will encourage students to continue the stories of Hank in the 5th grade. What will happen next?

"The Old Willis Place" by Mary Downing Hahn

This is a great novel to read with students around Halloween! Almost everyone loves a good mystery and Hahn does an excellent job bringing the story alive.  The use of colorful words is amazing and seeing a classroom of wondering and attentive faces is priceless! Make sure you check it out!
